E.H. Auvenshine, 93, of Waco, died Jan.26, 2001 at Hill Regional hospital in Hillsboro.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan.31, 2001 at Marshall& Marshall Chapel. A Masonic Graveside Ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday Jan 30 at Marshall & Marshall.

Mr. Auvenshine was born Nov. 27, 1907 in Jonesboro and grew up in Mt. Pleasant. He was married to Corrine Clark, of Pittsburg, Texas for 60 years. She preceded him in death in 1989. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Williamson of Hurst and Dr. Martha Auvenshine of Oakland, California; two sons, Dr. William Auvenshine of Hillsboro and Dr. Ronald Auvenshine of Houston; a brother, Leland Auvenshine of Marble Falls; a sister Wilda Jean Burnett of Amarillo; five grandchildren & three great-grandchildren.

(Note: it's my understanding this family considers itself "Czech" even though they have French roots.
