Julie Helen Arndt, 46, of Meyersville passed away July 25, 2006, after a courageous, 4 1/2 year battle with breast and liver cancer.

She was born March 16, 1960, in Cuero, Texas to Clifford and Bette Jo Haun.

Julie was preceded in death by grandparents Herbert & Martha Haun and Lucious & Agnes Rohan.

Julie is survived by her husband, Delvin; daughters: Molly, Sarah and Carly, a sister Lesley Bruns and husband David of Goliad; brothers: Brad Haun of Meyersville, Clay Haun and wife Monica of Meyersville; 6 nieces and 1 nephew and many other family members and friends who are inspired by her love, kindness and strong faith.

Julie was a devoted mother, wife, friend, and Christian. Julie enjoyed getting together with family and friends, cooking, working in her yard, and playing ball with her Maltese, Penny. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, club manager for the Meyersville 4-H Club, and an avid volunteer in her community. Julie was honored as a cancer survivor at Cuero's Relay for Life in May 2006. She worked as an Assistant Program Director for Texas Cooperative Extension DeWitt County.

Visitation will be Thursday, 7-27-2006 at Freund Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Friday, 7-28-2006, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Meyersville with Rev. Eric Petty officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery under the direction of Freund Funeral Home. Cuero. 361-275-2343.
