Georgia Mae Robb Akin passed away peacefully on March 14, 2005 after a courageous fight with lung cancer.

Georgia was preceded in death by her mother and father, Virginia Woodrum and George Robb, the father of her children, Pete Haley, and brother, James Robb. Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. Georgia was born on 12/25/1931 in Houston, Tx.

She began her career at Texas Instruments and after a long career, took early retirement and began a new career with Compaq Computers working until her retirement in 1992. After retirement she became a full-time grandmother. Georgia provided much love and devotion to her grandchildren & great grandchildren during her retirement years. She loved to travel with her close friends James and Doreen Brock and Aubry Weldon.

Georgia leaves to cherish loving memories, her son, Rodney Haley, fiancée Cindy Zavala, daughters, Cynthia Celli, husband Richard Celli, Debby Haley-Bubenik, husband, Danny Bubenik. Her beloved grandchildren, Rachel Edinburgh, Anna Edinburgh, Tracie Kmiec, Katie Greensage, Travis Bubenik, Cody Bubenik and Cole Bubenik along with five great-grandchildren, Susan Haley and her loving brother, George Allen Robb.

Memorial Service will be held at Earthman Resthaven Chapel & Cemetery on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to her special friends, Carol Weeden and Mike Austin and to the staff members of Methodist Hospital as well as to Dr. Lehane and his staff for the loving care given to our mother during her lengthy illness.
