Dorothy Marie Adamek, 80, of Waco passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, in a Waco retirement center.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne Williams officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adamek was born in Bosque County. She and her late husband, Woodrow W. Adamek, operated the Northcrest Grocery for many years before retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Mazelle Freeman; husband, Woodrow W. Adamek; daughter, Barbara Jean Cunningham; and brothers, Bill Freeman and Cleo Freeman.

She is survived by a son, Rodney Adamek and wife Anna of Waco; grandchildren, Christopher Adamek of Seabrook, Lauren Adamek of Waco, and Abby and Kate Cunningham, of Columbus, N.C.; and son-in-law, David Cunningham of Columbus, N.C.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
