Meeting dates are being divided between places in Travis and Williamson Counties to reach as much of the membership as possible. Consequently, projecting firm dates to available meeting places is difficult. For a specific meeting date and place, one should contact the PRESIDENT, (512) 453-4453 or the SECRETARY, (512) 928-0960. Visitors Are Always Welcome.
Currently the local dues are set at $6.00 per adult and $2.00 per youth under 18 years of age. Members must also be members of the State Czech Heritage Society. Dues are $10.00 per adult and $2.00 for youth. Membership forms are available from our Treasurer, (512) 250-2068
T-Shirts
The first active money-making project of the membership was the sale of T-Shirts, designed with our distinctive logo. The most popular is the "Czech by Marriage".
Cookbooks
The membership developed a cookbook of tried Czech recipes. In addition to the host of recipes, the design of the cookbook, such as loose-leaf pages and a fold-back cover which makes for easy use, has made the cookbook very popular.
Czech Heritage Month
During October members coordinate and sponsor Czech activities in the schools and communities, adopt public and school libraries and help with Czech displays. Members also visit Nursing Homes in Granger and Taylor, Texas. Czech Heritage Month publicity is also disseminated over local area radio stations.
