Lavaca Czech Heritage Society Crowns Queen

Sunday, January 10, 2010, the Lavaca Chapter of the Czech Heritage Society met for their annual planning meeting in the Hall of Fame Room at the KC Hall in Hallettsville.  This meeting was an important one as it not only set the activities of the Society for the next year but it also gave the group the opportunity to select who would be Miss Lavaca Czech Slovak 2010.

Miss Ashton Machicek of Shiner was selected as Chapter Queen. Ashton is the daughter of David and Amy Machicek and is currently a junior at Shiner High School.  Miss Sarah Tronicek, daughter of Shannon and Rusty Tronicek, Jr., was selected by the Queen to be her Little Czech Sister.

Miss Machicek will represent Lavaca County at the Spring Czech Heritage Society Meeting and 8th Annual Miss Texas Czech Slovak Pageant, which will be held in Taylor, Texas at the SPJST Hall on Saturday, April 17, 2010.  We extend congratulations to Ashton and her little Czech sister, Sarah.
